just found out that yesterday kim kardashian’s private jet produced 61 tons of CO2 emissions. over the last week drake’s private jet flights produced 182 tons of CO2 emissions. like what is even the point any more
the average person produces 7 tons of CO2 in a year. it would take the average person 9 years to produce as much CO2 as kim kardashian did in 1 day, or 26 years to produce as much CO2 as drake did in 1 week. is there actually any point in trying to go vegetarian? or cycling to work instead of driving? we will never be able to undo the damage of just private jet emissions at this rate

tumblr really has gone from being an open pvp zone to being my chill little retreat from other social media sites. nobody is trying to hock NFTs. i'm not forced to hear about joe rogan. i mean i know statistically people like this and things that are even worse also exist on tumblr but it's out of sight out of mind. they aren't being forced into my view by an algorithm. it's all just among us babies

Oh, this is really neat, this is the same thing they did in Sh! The Octopus in 1937 to do this transformation scene. In black & white, the color of your light can hide makeup, then all you have to do is flip the color, and the audience just sees the difference in the light levels, but cannot see the color shift. The quick explanation for why this works is the blue makeup absorbs red light, looking very dark when only red light is present, but also looks about the same as relatively fair skin when only blue light is present. Same goes for the colors the other way.
Ahh, I think that they had this in one of the early Jekyll and Hyde adaptations as well. :)
Twilight Zone used this trick too, in The Howling Man, where this guy morphs into the Devil.
